DAMON BANKS

Damon was hit hard by the travel bug after living in Germany for a year in high school as a Rotary International exchange student. Becoming fluent in a foreign language and traveling freely across borders while absorbing everything he could from the cultures proved addictive.

His ever-growing bucket list of places to see and golf courses to play keeps him busy while always looking for ways to curate localized experiences along the way to become fully immersed in the places he travels – from golfing through Ireland to sailing and saunas in Finland and expanding his culinary passions with the masters of pastry in Italy and France.

After more than 20 years of working with a diverse collection of corporate brands, print and digital media outlets, firms and agencies, and other international freelance projects, his work as an award-winning journalist for his travel and lifestyle editorial work, copywriter for global hospitality brands, and brand consultant for marketing and media clients seamlessly merges the worlds of writing, editing, brand identity, social media, marketing, public relations, and promotion. Clients benefit from his rich background while developing global marketing campaigns, representing international public relations clients, executive producing television and video projects, managing writer teams and publications, and developing editorial features for an impressive collection of worldwide magazines and media outlets.

Damon’s work always provides both a national and international perspective, which is combined with a firm grasp on the latest media technologies. When asked what a perfect day would be for him when not jet-setting to the next location, he replied, “That’s easy. Sunrise yoga followed by a round of golf with friends before a late afternoon by the pool with a good book. The day would conclude with me making dinner to enjoy with friends, complete with international flavors and a few glasses of great red wine.”
